The most amazing and empowering aspect of the BLM movement is that it has given people the confidence to call out racist behaviour that has long been normalized. No longer can people pretend these comments are okay, it's time to call out each and every person who thinks "it's just a joke." It infuriated me when I read that these so-called friends blamed covid-19 for "changing" you, when in reality, the current events have only given you the courage to voice your boundaries. Also, I can't fathom how anyone can say "you're black but not black black" and expect that to be taken as a compliment. Thank you for sharing.
